Capterio joins IE Week panel to solving Flaring and Methane: with Data, Policy and Leadership Grit

Today at the Energy Institute’s flagship conference at International Energy Week in London, our CEO, Dr Mark Davis joined a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities represented by flaring and methane.

With flaring, venting and leaking accounting for 7% of all gas, this is a $60 billion+ revenue opportunity that can lower CO2-equivalent emissions by up to 7 billion tonnes.

Our conversation focussed on measurement, data, policy, best practices, technology and “leadership grit”. One theme was really clear – by capturing wasted gas, we can create value, improve energy security and lower emissions. But to be successful, we will need to collaborate with many countries with less well-developed regulations and policies to create a win-win.

Thank you to the Energy Institute and their Young Professional network, and fellow panelists including Dr Youssef Alshammari, Umesh Lad and Izabela Pawlic-Seymour, plus our chair Philippa Davidson.
