Capterio and Mirico conduct joint site visit to methane monitoring test facility

Delighted to spend time in the field with Capterio’s strategic partner, Mirico, at their test facility, with thanks to software engineer Awen Saunders for showing us the technology in action. Mirico’s unique laser-scanning technology continuously scans across entire sites using multiple laser paths and reflectors, enabling clients to detect, locate and quantify methane emissions every 3–5 minutes, at rates as low as 500 g/hour.

Combining Mirico’s high-frequency, site-level measurements with Capterio’s satellite-derived insights creates a powerful space-to-site view of emissions. Together, the technologies enable methane and CO₂ emissions to be tracked from asset scale down to individual emission sources — providing operators with actionable insights to reduce emissions, capture value, meet regulatory requirements and improve energy security.
